My moral compass and my political strategy have been in deep tension, as it feels like such a betrayal to my Palestinian siblings to vote for the VP of the admin that has abetted genocide, even as I know that a Trump presidency would be even worse for Palestine and for all of us. Harm reduction has been a somewhat helpful way to think of it, but has felt insufficient. Your line about leverage to shift the powers is a tool for my political and moral imagination.
